What we collect and why
The enquiry form
When you send an enquiry we collect your name, phone number, email address, the type of enquiry, your message, how you would like us to reply, and any photos you choose to attach. We use these only to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is your consent (the box you tick) and, where you go on to buy or sell something, the steps needed to enter a contract with you.
- Your enquiry is emailed to the shop. We do not keep a separate copy of it in any database; it lives in the shop's inbox like any other email.
- If an email cannot be sent, the form tells you so and asks you to phone instead, rather than pretending it went through.
- You may receive one automatic confirmation email. We do not send marketing emails.
- Photos you attach are sent to the shop with your enquiry. They are not published anywhere.
- We keep enquiries for up to 12 months, then delete them, unless they relate to a purchase or sale we are required to keep records of.
Anti-spam checks
The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Turnstile may process your IP address and browser information for that purpose only. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. We also use the IP address a form submission came from to limit how many enquiries a single connection can send in a short time. It is held only for that check and is not stored afterwards.
Website analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It records page views and general device and country information, and does not identify you or track you across sites. Because it sets no cookies, this site shows no cookie banner. See Vercel's privacy policy.
Hosting and email
The site is hosted by Vercel. Enquiry emails are delivered by Resend. Both act as processors on our behalf. Data may be processed outside the UK by these providers under standard contractual safeguards.
Who we share it with
Nobody, other than the service providers above, unless the law requires it. We never sell your details.
Links to other sites
Links to Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps and WhatsApp open those services, which have their own privacy policies. The map on the Visit us section is provided by Google and loads only when you scroll to it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing sljewellers21@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with a new date.
